The AP has an article about Sandborn resident Steve Mitchell’s request to the Greene County Commissioners to annex the Knox County town. Green County Commissioners President Bart Beard said he was skeptical but had no problem with Mitchell exploring the idea.
[Mitchell] said the town’s residents largely shop in Greene County and that its police protection and courthouse in Bloomfield are closer than Knox County’s in Vincennes. But he also said some were frustrated by the successful request by Knox County officials to move into the Central Time Zone.
That’s my home county. Let them go. They are so far away from everyone else in the county.
Many problems could be solved to everyones satisfaction if minor adjustments were allowed along county lines with drawing the dreaded timeline.Countless possible solutions could be stated.
