The New York Times has an article mentioning that, per CQPolitics, Dr. Tom Hayhurst has an outside chance at beating Mark Souder in Indiana’s 3rd Congressional District. It’s still a long shot. The rankings moved from “safe Republican” to “Republican favored.” But nobody ought to be planning for a Hayhurst victory party. Souder won 69% of the vote 2 years ago, and President Bush took 68% of the vote in the district 2 years ago. Still, it’s not the cake walk Souder is used to, and if the ill-wind blowing against the GOP turns into a monsoon, who knows?
Here’s an idea. What say the voters engage in a gluttony of “throw the bums out” sentiment and vote out Souder and Carson (who a recent poll shows may be losing to Dickerson in IN-07? Sounds like an even trade to me.

So you want to dump a Congresswoman who wisely voted against that War in Iraq in favor of a failed businessman who still thinks the invasion and quagmire was a good idea? Souder is an integral part of the corrupt Bush Rubber-Stamp Congress – he deserves the boot.

If I had to choose between Carson and Hayhurst, I’d choose Hayhurst.

Carson out Dickerson in then maybe we will have someone in Washington to show up for the votes. By the way if this happens, who will be tending the BAR?
