Ed Brayton catches a whopper from Sen. Inhofe (R-OK):
Inhofe, speaking to the press before Cheney’s arrival, lambasted Democrats for Thursday’s Senate vote to begin withdrawal from Iraq by Oct. 1 and the press for “mischaracterizing” the reasons for U.S. involvement.
“The whole idea of weapons of mass destruction was never the issue, yet they keep trying to bring this up,” Inhofe said.
I must be part of a mass hallucination.

It’s at times like this I don’t understand why more folks aren’t pushing for impeachment of both Cheney and Bush.

Reminds me of my old college friend, Dom. Dom used to say, “Deny, deny, deny. I don’t care if they have you on tape. They show you the tape, you tell them, ‘I don’t know what this is; it wasn’t me.'”
Back then, it was just Dom. He was kind of a nut — drank a lot; played in a death metal band (“The Proper Authorities” — come for the music, stay for the violence!); against all odds, wound up with ridiculously good looking women despite his own less than stellar looks. Now, it’s prominent members of the ruling party of the most powerful nation on the planet — not just a guy who once advised me, “Let’s not be so hasty with the 8-ball” as I reached for the remainder of a 40 oz Old English 800.
