The Slacktivist has a nice post on those annoying in-line ads the Indy Star is so fond of. Among other things, if these links become the norm in online newspaper articles, that will pretty much prevent those article from ever adopting useful linking practices.

NoScript (noscript.net) disallows intellitxt.com scripts, and hence those “fake” links, pretty much by default. (I believe, I’ve meddled with my settings since install.) They’re not served from the same site you’re viewing.
I didn’t even have to bother telling Adblock to block content from that domain.
