My site got shut down by my host, apparently for using too many resources. This is a run of the mill blog in terms of layout and traffic, so I went looking elsewhere for an explanation. I’m not positive, but it looks like I’ve been getting hammered with visits from an IP in Viet Nam over the past day or two. Not sure what that is, but I have blocked the IP. Hopefully that was the problem, and I have fixed it.
It’s also possible that one of my scripts has gone haywire or something along those lines.
In any event, that’s why I was down; and, if the site goes down again, that’s probably the reason.
Viet Nam? Ah HAH!

BTW< I had a Steve Buyer sighting. The Congressman was at West Lafayette High School today to give away an award– arrogant as always. I kept control of my urge to trip and stomp on him. My one good deed today.

Sounds a bit like a Denial of Service Attack.
Or maybe you have a mail script on your site that was being hijacked by spammers.

Spammers are getting more creative. I get multiple daily e-mails of a nature not to be discussed on a family site. They are sent from one of the usual untraceable addresses, but apparently forwarded to my e-mail account from a yahoo account.
P.S. Hoosier 1st – you took the high road and he took teh low and he’ll be in Scotland afore ye, as teh old song goes… you’ll get much better Indy 500 coverage here. :-)
