This year’s Colts are not for the faint of heart. They came back once again, and, once again, they held off their opponent’s potentially game winning drive in the final seconds. This win puts the Colts in the playoffs as the #5 seed. There isn’t anything they can do to change their position, so game 16 against the Titans might feature a practice squad. This makes the 7th straight year the Colts have been in the playoffs. We’re spoiled.
Peyton was outstanding. The defense was terrible until it wasn’t, and then it was pretty darn good. Keiwan Ratliff’s run back of an interception for a touchdown was the critical play that turned it all around. After that, a few sacks made all the difference.
Update Also, as this column suggests, in a rational world, Manning’s performance tonight would cement his position as this year’s league MVP.

Manning should be MVP. Without Manning I doubt this team would win a single game. COLTS won’t go far in the playoffs can’t run the ball ranked dead last I think and can’t stop the run. Wouldn’t it be nice to see the COLTS go after Albert Haynesworth in the off season who will be a unrestricted free agent. Pairing Haynesworth with Freeny and Mathis on the e ends would be deadly. Never happen though
This team doesn’t usually spend big on the free agent market. They need to start though with Brady coming back to the PATRIOTS next season the only way to beat them is to get pressure on Brady like the GIANTS did in the Superbowl.

Although I’m located just East of you (Cincinnati area), I’m a devout Steelers fan. This poses a problem since the Colts (in my opinion) appear ready to make another serious run at the AFC Championship.
Hopefully Ben will get healthy and play with some consistency when the playoffs begin.
As for our hometown Bengals…there’s always next year, as we seem to say quite a bit these days.
