Journal & Courier on Benton County time zone request

The Journal & Courier is reporting that the Benton Community School Corporation has indicated a preference to “stay with Lafayette”. The Benton County Commissioners voted 2 to 1 to petition for Central Time based on public input supporting Central Time by a margin of about 4 to 1. When you boil this down, I think it really amounts to an overall preference by residents of Benton County that Tippecanoe County also be on Central Time.
