I am a father, husband, attorney, and Hoosier, living in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. I am a partner in the Lafayette law firm of Hoffman, Luhman, and Masson, P.C.
Back in 1996-1999, I worked for the Legislative Services Agency of the Indiana General Assembly which is where I gained an interest in the state legislative process. Since I was working for a nonpartisan agency at the time, I wasn’t allowed to have an opinion on the legislation. Now I can, and I do. The main focus of this blog is usually the General Assembly. However, I frequently stray into other topics that catch my interest. (During Indiana’s bicentennial year, my interest has turned to Indiana’s history. So, the focus has, for most of 2016, turned sharply to that subject with a series of installments in my bicentennial series. Each monthly installment (made up of subparts) focuses on about 16 years of Indiana’s history.)
I started this blog in November of 2004. One of the best parts of the experience has been how much I have learned from the knowledgeable people who comment. So, if something catches your interest, please post your thoughts as well.
