Advance Indiana offers very thoughtful commentary on Brian Bosma and his guest column in the Star. It praises Bosma and the House Republicans for a progressive economic agenda and an austere state government budget but takes them to task for a radical and divisive social agenda.
I tend to disagree with some of the praise because I believe a lot of the budget balancing was done by passing the buck to local government and believe that the economic measures are more regressive than progressive (toll roads and unregulated utilities being more prominent in the 19th and early 20th century than the late 20th century.) My difference of opinion notwithstanding, the post is definitely worth checking out.
