Mainly, I’m flagging this entry at the Indiana Law Blog for potential future use in one of my cases. It concerns tough times for pork producers due to an oversupply of pork and increasing prices for feed.
I have a case where I represent a secondary player in suit filed by a pork producer who feels he didn’t get the pigs he was promised, forcing him to stop producing his own hogs. If it gets that far and if pork prices tank as much as predicted (some are saying it’s going to be worse than the dismal years of ’98-’99), maybe I can argue that he owes us money.

maybe barack obama will help hoosier pork producers with a beer and bratwurst fundraiser?
or a sausage and pancake breakfast? (waaaaaiiiittt for it..get it? ok- bad joke; but as wc fields says” never trust a man who doesnt drink”)and that would end the questions about islam.
speaking of islam, despite all the extremists killing themselves everyday, Islam is now the worlds largest numerical religion. bad news for US pork producers.
and i love my bacon, sausage, ham, proscuitto(?), bratwurst, and what not, to ever even think of joining the islamic lemmings.
or( and this is also horribly not PC) maybe the USA isnt exterminating enough of them- the great white way- the winning of the west? Hooray for America!
oh- and from “his” cold dead fingers, btw…RIP

This is a good example of how unsustainable food practices are harming Indiana. Farms of 30,000 pigs are not a good thing. This isn’t your local farmer from down the road. This is a major agribusiness facing a crisis of its own making. Indiana could be the leader by returning to small scale local and sustainable farms. Factory farms of 30,000 animals do nothing to help the Hoosier Farmer, but rather pad the pockets of Agribusiness owners. Nature sets the rules about what we can or cannot do. Endless exploitation will only lead to demise!

The last 8 years under Mitch were bad times for all the neighbors of these CFO’s. Where is the sympathy for them? These CFO’s have no regard for any environmental consequences all for the sake of $1.79lb pork loins. Didn’t these operations save any of their money from all the profits they received under Mitch’s guidance and promotion?
