If only the Clinton campaign owed Purdue, I would be salivating over a collections opportunity. Apparently the Clinton campaign owes IU $55,000. But she’s totally still in it.
I was tempted to follow up with a flippant remark about how she’s “number one with a bullet” without further comment. But the whole Robert F. Kennedy remark just makes me uneasy. I can’t believe she meant anything unsavory by it; but still.

I think if something happened to Obama, she would put on a black dress, mourn a bit, and then step in “for the good of the country.”
Hopefully this tactless slip-up allows Obama the freedom to choose a Veep without having to feel he owes it to her. Lately, her fundraisers have been hinting they won’t help him if she’s not on the ticket. That’s funny, considering the debt her campaign is running up.
I could see them in office now, Obama governing, and Hillary impatiently tapping her foot and glancing at her watch, wondering if something’s about to happen.

Meanwhile, Obama paid his bill to IU. Guess Hillary thought the school was IOU.
Yeah, she’d be just a “heartbeat” away. Guess she’d be looking for another photo op taking the oath of office in the back of the plane while Mrs. Obama was still wearing blood-stained clothes.

Is the fact IU has not yet been paid an issue? I’ve worked in offices where invoices don’t get processed this quickly. (Once, I paid $500 to IU that took two months for the school to process!) So is the nonpayment an issue? Perhaps several months from now, it would be, but not this soon.
And even if the Clinton campaign is tapped, I can’t imagine the fundraising power of the Clintons can’t make a quick dent in its debts. IU will get its money.
As for her unfortunate remark about assassination, it’s a topic that has certainly been thought about, if not spoken aloud. I remember reading early in the campaign about how black voters feared that “something” would happen to Obama.
Now I’m not saying this to defend Clinton, but it seems to me that if we make a big deal about saying what everyone else is thinking, do we all of a sudden have to the right to discuss it, too? Just asking.
