The Colts won a big one over the Jaguars today – 28 to 25. That gives them what amounts to a three game lead in the division with four games left to play — two games over the Jags plus a tie-breaker.
The Colts won despite Jaguars’ statistical advantages in:
First downs (26 to 19)
Net yards (411 to 342)
Total plays (63 to 55)
Yards rushing (168 to 63)
Time of possession (35:45 to 24:15)
The Colts next games are against:
The 4-7 Baltimore Ravens (Road)
The 3-8 Oakland Raiders (Road)
The 5-7 Houston Texans (Home)
The 7-5 Tennessee Titans (Home)
By and large, the Colts have played a tough schedule. This might be the softest part. Going into the home stretch, the Patriots are probably uncatchable for first in the AFC. Looking at the race for second, currently, the Colts have a 1.5 game lead against the Steelers who have to play Cincinnati, New England, Jacksonville, St. Louis, and Baltimore. New England and Jacksonville ought to be tough games for them.
Hopefully, the Colts current position gives them a chance to get healthy. If we have all our starters going into the playoffs, we’ll be formidable. I say “we” because I watch them on television. Clearly, that makes me part of the franchise.

Was at the game (hooray for friends with season tickets that can’t use them). Fun game to be at. Except for the pouring rain walking back to the car at Penn & North. heh.
