The Colts beat New England 27 to 20 last night. Man I hate those night games, makes me really, really tired the next day. But at least I stayed up for a win. Now, after the Colts won at Denver and now at Foxboro, I guess maybe they’re for real. And, in large part, they did it with defense — picking off Brady 4 times.
It really helped having Bob Sanders back in the game. Not only did he stopped the run, but he stopped it hard. I imagine the guys he hit were thinking about his hits, just a little, during subsequent games.

It’s always nice to see another Colts win and I don’t like the late nights either. Dungy keeps saying they have not played to their potential, that’s a scary statement especially since the run defense is last in the NFL. Hopefully they will sure it up and make a run to the title.

Doug, I’m with you. As I get older (fast approaching middle age – scary thought) I really don’t like the late night games. There have been few Sunday/Monday night games that I’ve stayed up for this season. Usually I’m asleep by the start of the fourth quarter.
But I was awake for quite a while after the end of last night’s game. So was my wife. She wants a Bob Sanders jersey and I’m just about to go order one…

Wow, that sentence was horrible. I’m not sure whether to chalk that grammatical abomination up to weariness or having a 3 year old in the house.

It was good to see the defense win a game. And winning to tough road games…leaves me with happy warm fuzzies for the second half of the season. How this all translates in January, who knows.
