Doubtless this is another position for which he was selected because of his knowledge and sensible advice and totally not because of any political influence he might have. That would be laughable.
Lest we forget, recall Citizen Bayh’s sanctimonious exit from the Senate where he bemoaned the special interest influence and lack of public spirit.

What a traitor. Marathon is the chief competitor to Indiana’s own BP (the company formerly known as Standard Oil of Indiana).
Since he now must drive himself around he discovered OIL…How more do you need to know to be on a board like that.
