An Evansville Courier Press article on the time zone decision in southwest Indiana. Daviess County has already decided to apply for Central. Dubois County is scheduled to discuss it on Sept. 6. One commissioner there is leaning toward Eastern. One Knox county commissioner is leaning Central. Perry County wants to see what Dubois County is doing. Up north (in a development I’ve apparently missed while I’ve been unable to monitor the news), Marshall, Pulaski, and Starke County have all voted for central. St. Joseph, as we’ve mentioned before, has done everything but have the county commissioners vote for central.
County officials are generally irritated that state and federal law makers have dropped this in their laps.
