It’s Friday night, and I’m not feeling especially insightful. The kids are in bed, and I’m sitting out on our front porch, drinking a beer enjoying some nice weather. We haven’t had much of it, and rumor has it this weekend won’t be all that great either. The air is a little cool, and the smell of fresh cut grass is in the air. Sometimes you have to take a pause from the continuous bitch-fest that tends to be the blogosphere and admit that things aren’t half bad sometimes.

Yeah, until you receive an e-mail from your friends in Phoenix who talk about how their garden is producing ripe tomatoes and the pool has been warm enough to swim in for the past two months…Oh well, at least I finally started getting the garage cleaned out today.

Yep, you do. I’ve got the kids for the evening, since the wife went with a friend to see “Made of Honor.” I’ll probably take my oldest to see “Caspian” tomorrow. I’m a big fan of the Narnia books, but I hear the movie is a bit different from the book. We’ll see…

Doug, this was almost as insightful as the article you wrote in our high school newspaper that described how seniors were the “Lords of the Hallway”. Please post that article for me if you still have it in your archives.

Tim! Not so loud about the high school paper days. I’m trying (poorly) to cultivate a reputation here. I think I have all of our old senior year editions of the Register up in my attic somewhere.
