Rep. Chyung has introduced HJR 1 which would amend the Indiana Constitution to reduce the minimum age of state legislators to 18 years old. Currently, pursuant to Art. 4, sec. 7 of the Indiana Constitution, Representatives have to be 21 and Senators have to be 25. It also amends the gender-specific language in the Constitution which assumes that legislators will necessarily be male. (I think that’s the type of thing that the Legislative Services Agency does as a matter of course when old language comes up for amendment.)
