The Republicans look like they have another old white guy running for their nomination. But, in a twist that might require the GOP to do some acrobatics with their standard rhetoric, the new candidate is Hollywood actor and lawyer, Fred Thompson.
(Note: I was doing a little rummaging around the Internet to check some background and have to say, I appreciated this piece of Thompson’s on Red State with respect to allegations that he is too friendly to trial lawyers and hostile to “tort reform.”)
I don’t know much about Thompson.If he got the nomination though I’m not sure he wouldn’t win.I know this much and that is he is opposed to the current piece of garbage that is the comprehensive immigration give a way bill and that’s good enough for this family of Democrats and all of our friends and relation.I see Hilary Clinton was out seeking the Hispanic vote today and getting the endorsement of the open borders mayor of LA.Good for her.This woman has way too much baggage to be elected in my opinion but who knows.
I say all these things being a registered Democrat and a person who voted for Clinton twice,Gore and Kerry and given the current state of affairs in the U.S. I feel I voted correctly.George Bush has got to be the worst president since Jimmy Carter only Bushs mistakes have had far greater consequences.
I see the American legion came out today against the Immigration bill.
My part at the national level on immigration has left me completely against them and I’m not the only Democrat who feels this way.
