The House voted down 44-51 a bill that would have set a goal to increase HPV vaccination rates among Indiana teenagers.
The opposition seems to be a mix of anti-vaxxer and pro-abstinence sentiment. Research suggests that the vaccine isn’t any more dangerous than vaccines generally and that getting the vaccine doesn’t increase sexual activity.
Good grief.

The most non-deleterious strains are painful. The others cause, oh… cancer! A ridiculous minority prevents us from even setting a higher bar on our attempt… I agree with jharp. Shameful.
