Via Blue Indiana – The Swing State Project has added IN-03 (Souder v. Montagano) and IN-04 (Buyer v. Ackerson) to its “to watch” list. In both districts, the incumbent has to be regarded as the heavy favorite, but a combination of solid candidates, decent fund raising, lackluster incumbents, and disillusionment over the past seven years could conceivably flip these districts.

Substituting words that have similar looks or creative spellings could be a sign of aging and diminishing thinking capacity. I do the same thing. But it also depends on what capacity your mind was on originally,so it’s all relative.

Some initial observations when looking at the websites of the four candidates. Or maybe I should say when looking *for* the websites. While Souder and Buyer have their official websites hosted by the government, I couldn’t find any sites for their reelection (except a pitiful one-page souderforcongress.com). Assuming they can’t use their government-sponsored sites for campaigning…
Looking at the sites for Montagano and Ackerson, when did candidates stop listing their party affiliation? (Maybe this is a strategic maneuver for Dems in Indiana?) It isn’t on the home page of either candidate.
The official websites of the two Rs have prominent links for “Contact Mark” and “Contact Steve” while the D’s have “Contact” (Montagano) and a tacky red “Donate” (Ackerson). (Actually, there is a small “Contact Us” at the very bottom of Ackerson’s home page.)
Of course… I haven’t looked at *content* on any of them…
