I saw a little snippet on WLFI about the Tippecanoe County Democrats’ Jefferson Jackson dinner. It mentioned that Jim Schellinger and Nels Ackerson were among the speakers there. Now, it’s not earth shaking news that these guys would talk at a county Democratic function. What is notable to me is that the news saw fit to include Mr. Ackerson in its reporting. I’m not sure if he gets mentioned if his 1st quarter fund raising had been lackluster.
I’m still waiting to see if Ackerson outraised Buyer for this quarter. Now that would be a story he can shop around…
According to Buyer’s 2007 filings, Ackerman has raised more in the past 3 months from individuals than Buyer raised in the first six months in total. Typically 3rd quarter fundraising is week in an off year and most PACs are low on $.

Buyer has posted his info: He raised just over $70,000. That means that Ackerson nearly doubled his fundraising in just a few short weeks.
