Today is July 1, the day in which most of the legislation from the most recent session of the General Assembly goes into effect. Now, don’t you feel better now that all those new laws are in effect? Because clearly there was a shortage of laws before today.
Mike Kole says
That’s beautiful sarcasm, Doug. Love it!
Just wait! This was the *short* session, intended to address *emergency* legislation. Just wait until we have a full session. You’ll relly feel safe then!
Paul says
July 1 also saw the end of one law, the state mandated dog tax. I can live without that law.
Doug says
There was a dog tax? Was I supposed to be reporting my dogs and paying on them?
Paul says
It was news to me when I read this morning’s Journal-Gazette. If you haven’t been billed you need to complain to your township trustee, he or she has been falling down on the job.
Doug says
I’ll get right on that.
