I just came across the blog of Kreg Battles, the Democrat opposing Troy “I’ll never vote for it” Woodruff to represent Indiana’s 64th House District. His official website is here. Woodruff and hopefully his defeat are of special interest to me given his position as a legislator who promised his constituents that he would never vote for Daylight Saving Time only to turn around and become the legislator who gave DST its one vote margin of passage.

I’d say his defeat is of special interest because he made as firm and as solemn a promise as a candidate could in an election campaign, regardless on what the issue was, and then turned his back on his promise for purely partisan reasons.

Have there been any polls in this race to see who is leading?

Doug, thanks for posting about our site and blog. We hope to keep the blog pretty active. Things are looking great down here in the 64th. Our opponent has been going negative against us since late June. To date we’ve knocked on over 16,000 doors. Thanks again.

Justin,As a resident from Loogootee all I can do is wish Kreg Battles good luck and really feel like he will defeat Troy I`ll Never Vote For DST Woodruff.Mr.Woodruff is a liar plain and simple!I also think my State Representative Dave Crooks will win re-election.I tell everyone to be sure and vote for him and signs are going up all over Loogootee for Crooks.I know we have one in our yard.
Maybe Battles and Crooks can lead a effort along with State Senator Lindel Hume from our area to straighten out the time mess left by the “I Believe Central Time Makes The Most Sense For Indiana Governor” Another liar since he flip floped on this statement after the Chamber of Commerce and special interests got a hold of him!
