IU has gotten hit with a “failure to monitor” charge by the NCAA. Athletic Director Rick Greenspan is resigning. The hits just keep on coming. As always, The Hoosier Report is a great place to go for information on IU athletics.

As a Purdue fan, I can constantly amused by the train wreck that Indiana University athletics has become. At this point, perhaps the sinkhole that opened up at the football stadium should be taken as a statement by forces bigger than we are.

Yeah, if I were a Purdue fan, I’d be laughing it up pretty good just about now.

Actually, you two negative Nan’s are missing the point. Rick Greenspan is a lame duck now. That is the best IU news I have heard in a couple of years.

The Sampson hiring seemed stupid at the time. I mean, knowing going in that we had to absorb penalties that were done on behalf of Oklahoma? That alone should have killed the deal.

A million dollars in “buyouts?” I screw up that royally and I am out of a job, no pay, defrocked, and disgraced. Both these men can go spend some quality time on an island “getting their lives back together.”
I also thought they were stupid hiring him in the first place-and the AD should have been gone back in October when the infractions were initially released.

IU basketball will eventually recover.
Rev. AJB says
Yeah, but it will be a tough few years for us who love IU….

Very true.I like Crean as a hire however his guard dominated dominated philosiphy concerns me.The Big Ten is a league where you need a good low post presence.Oh well I wouldn’t be a IU fan if I didn’t have a concern.
