According to George R.R. Martin’s Website, the next installment in his Epic “A Song of Fire & Ice” series is ready for production. The next book, entitled A Feast for Crows has been a long time coming. This is Book 4 in the series. Book 3 was released in 2000. According to Martin, he couldn’t fit everything he wanted in “A Feast for Crows”. So, they separated off some of the story arcs and will put those into a Book 5 that takes place during the same time period but in different locations. That book being half done, hopefully there will be two books in relatively quick succession.
For those unfamiliar with the series, it’s of the swords and sorcery variety. But, it’s especially well done with the politics of the kingdom being particularly well set out. The only real draw back has been the pace of the books. There has been 8 years between book 1 and book 4. But, maybe that’s the price for quality.
