No husband likes to be the second man in his wife’s life, but in this case, I’ll make an exception. Amy went to see Obama last night. She got me a ticket, but then child care became problematic, so I stayed home to take care of my kids. How’s that for family values? Anyway, I’d say “giddy” is a fair description of Amy’s reaction to Sen. Obama. She posted pictures and everything.
The Journal & Courier also has an article, but, between you and me, Amy’s is better.

I was especially interesting about what the audience went through to get into the seating area. I was wondering how much security there was during these public campaign talks. Everyone is always aware of the possibility something a nut might do in unsecured public gatherings. Also, is there some reason that security was so tight for Obama and not for H Clinton ,as was stated in Amy Masson’s account above? That in itself gives pause to ponder.Other than that, GO Barack!

No.. she went to see BILL Clinton, and I worked that event. There was NO security for Bill basically. They didnt wand or search anyone. They had dogs around, but that didnt cut it for me. I mean, they even let us sell plastic bottled cokes.. great weapons ya know.
At the Obama event, there were tons of police, metal detectors and so forth. It was a tightly controlled event.
Of the two, Obama’s seemed better planned.
BTW– I suggested that Amy’s diary be REC’d and reprinted into yours. Way to go wife!
