A good article in the Palladium-Item on the community corrections program. Community corrections is a program administered by a county that attempts to rehabilitate (hopefully) low risk offenders. It’s an alternative to locking them up, and it gets them in the habit of keeping a steady job. Whether it’s the best approach, I don’t know enough to say. But, overall, the idea is good. Jail simply isn’t the best solution to every crime.
