Senator Craycraft has introduced SB 131 increasing Indiana’s minimum wage from $5.15 to $5.65 per hour in 2006, to $6.15 per hour in 2007, and to $6.65 per hour in 2008.
Possibly more interesting than the new legislation is that the text of the statute provides a history of Indiana’s minimum wage:
1968 – $1.25/hour
1977 – $1.50/hour
1978 – $1.75/hour
1979 – $2.00/hour
1990 – $3.35/hour
1998 – $4.25/hour
1999 – $5.15/hour
