Senate Bill 212 passed the House 96 to 0. Seems like a good bill. Upon receipt of a written request by the personal representative of a decedent and a copy of the death certificate, the bill requires a person who electronically stores the documents or information of the decedent to give the personal representative of the estate access to, or copies of, the documents or information. It also prohibits the person receiving such a request from destroying the documents or information for two years.
