Well, they’re establishing what it costs in 2010 dollars for out-of-state interests to close on a ten-year campaign to re-write the alcoholic beverage codes, and they’re trying out the latest in Miracle Cures for Indiana’s Budget Woes Which Would Not Require Responsible Spending, Self-Discipline, or Actual, Positive Governance That Might Engender a Primary Challenge, but I’d describe that more as “being in session” than “doing stuff”.

The Senate is back to bashing gays for political profit. I wish these guys could focus on real issues – like jobs, education funding, budget, environment… oh yeah.. let’s worry about Bryan and Petronio getting married – which is already illegal in Indiana.

The Senate Republican leadership really didn’t want to have to deal with the amendment in the short session (if ever again), but folded to Eric Miler of Advance America. There’s a rumor that one party member wanted to add “until death do they part”, to the definition limiting marriage to just one man and one woman, but too many of the sponsors balked because they’d be unconstitutional if the measure ever passed.
