Looks like I missed my three year blogoversary. My first Indiana government blog entry was November 29th, 2004. Presumably untold riches and power would’ve been mine had I spent my time productively. Too late now, I guess. Might as well keep blogging along.

Doug – Happy Blogoversary! May you experience it tenfold. Unless, of course, you grow old and cranky! ;)

Congrats! I follow your blog through the RSS feed — I find it to be reasonably sane and sensible.
I still don’t understand all this time zone brouhaha. I just wish the politicians would leave it alone and let it stay the way it used to be. If it were really that important, don’t you think the Federalist Papers or deTocqueville would have discussed it at length?

Happy toddlerhood to your blog! Guess that is why you are into a little bit of everything;-)

I understand your comment about blogging v. productivity completely. Indeed, it’s the reason I did so little blogging in the last three quarters of 2007- I concluded that I was putting too much effort into things that brought intangible satisfaction… blogging, running for office in particular… and that I could better use that time to produce.
I’m glad you’re able to strike the balance. I appreciate your thought-provoking material!

Happy Blogoversary!
Three years in the blogosphere is a significant thing.
Keep up the good work and best wishes for many more blogoversaries.

Thanks everyone. My balancing act pretty much involves abandoning the blog at the slightest necessity. Periods of productivity followed by half-hearted efforts. I’m just glad to keep things more or less readable. In particular, I feel like this place has attracted a higher caliber of commenters than some other places. It’s like having a club house where really smart people drop by and educate me from time to time.

Happy Blogoversary, Doug!
Really, it seems like you’ve been at this longer than three years, but I guess that’s just because it’s hard to imagine a time before your valuable contributions.

Wow. Guess I missed mine too. November 10, 2004.

Thank you, Doug. I may not always agree, but I always come away with a wider view.
