Those uppity folks in South Bend think there ought to be accountability and standards for Cintra-Macquarie’s highway up in their neck of the woods. Well, I say that if they want to drive on a public road with standards and accountability, they’re just going to have to come down to Indianapolis like everyone else. Cintra-Macquarie paid good money for that road, and now they can do with it as they please. If Hoosiers want a road with “usable rest stops” and gas stations with “clearly marked pricing” and the like, then we can just build ourselves a new highway (but not too close to the Toll Road, because that would be a breach of contract.)

Uh… yeah. Roadside bathrooms. I don’t think that the toll road can be any worse than the ones north of Indy on I-65. One I went to had a “glory hole” in the stall. Hmm, wonder what was going on in there?
Where’s Larry Craig when you need him?
All the BP stations on the toll road just got franchised. I’d expect them to greatly improve service as a result. BP is selling all of its company owned stations because it has found that franchisees do a much better job.

Rule #1-Never buy gas on a Toll Road-EVER!!!
Rule #2-Those restrooms have never been in good shape. But that doesn’t mean they can’t change.
I’m sure this is just like the mother-in-law checking out the laundry/cleaning habits of her new DIL’s house. The standards will never be as good as when sonny boy lived at home.
